What we do during a Performance Tune-Up:

Performance Furnace Tune-Up

  • Test & check for carbon monoxide leaks
  • Clean burner assembly
  • Replace thermocouple (if applicable)
  • Check & test ignition assembly
  • Check & clean blower motor & wheel
  • Inspect filtration system
  • Check and set gas pressure(s)
  • Check for gas leaks
  • Check motor capacitor(s)
  • Lubricate moving parts as required
  • Test and adjust safety controls
  • Check electrical connections
  • Test thermostat
  • Check flue & fresh air
  • Check air temperature rise
  • Check combustion
  • Inspect vent piping

Performance Air Conditioner Tune-Up

  • Power clean condenser coil
  • Inspect evaporator coil if accessible
  • Check & clean condensate drain
  • Check & clean blower motor
  • Inspect filtration system
  • Check for ductwork leaks and condition
  • Lubricate moving parts as required
  • Inspect & test for refrigerant leaks (if necessary)
  • Test condensate pump (if applicable)
  • Check electrical connections
  • Test capacitor(s)
  • Measure air temperature differential
  • Monitor refrigerant pressure
  • Measure amperage(s) and voltage(s)

Performance Air Handler Tune-Up

  • Inspect evaporator coil & clean if necessary
  • Clean blower motor & wheel
  • Inspect filtration system
  • Adjust blower components
  • Lubricate moving parts as required
  • Test and adjust safety controls
  • Check electrical connections
  • Check thermostat
  • Inspect humidification system
  • Inspect & test electrical heating elements

Performance Heat Pump Tune-Up

  • Power clean condenser coil
  • Check & clean condensate drain
  • Check defrost controls
  • Inspect auxiliary heaters
  • Inspect filtration system
  • Lubricate moving parts as required
  • Inspect & test for refrigerant leaks
  • Test condensate pump (if applicable)
  • Check electrical connections
  • Test capacitor(s)
  • Measure air temperature differential
  • Monitor refrigerant pressure(s)
  • Measure amperage(s) and voltage(s)

Performance Boiler/Hydronic Tune Up

  • Clean burner assembly
  • Check & clean heat exchanger
  • Check combustion
  • Check gas pressure(s)
  • Check for gas leaks
  • Check water pressure & temperature
  • Check flue and for proper draft
  • Check circulator pump(s) – lubricate if needed
  • Check electrical connections
  • Check and adjust safety controls
  • Check expansion tank & pressure
